I was lucky to be born into a very musical family in northern Sweden with my dad being the MD of our church and my brother a successful gospel singer in the US for many years. Always encouraged to play instruments I started with the violin when I was six and was playing in the church orchestra when I was nine. But being quite adventurous I left Sweden to travel the world when I was 19 and eventually ended up in Australia where I met my partner Eva in Brisbane in 2003, also musical and playing Tuba and piano in a band called Second Wind. Wasn't long before she dragged me along to a rehearsal and soon after I was playing my clarinet in CB and alto sax in stage band. But being of a restless nature the following year I decided to fulfil my dream to sail around the world on my yacht and asked Eva if she wanted to come along; she said yes, sold her house, said good bye to her two daughters and found homes for her two poodles. 10 years later, after a fantastic voyage and often entertaining fellow yachties and natives with my dad's old accordion in some very exotic places around this globe, we are now back and playing with Second Wind again, Eva now playing trombone while I'm happy to be the pianist in Big Band and playing clarinet in CB.
